All Summer in a Day - Ray Bradbury I read this several years ago, but it is just beautiful and so, so sad. I actually love the rain, so rain all the time actually sounds like a lovely thing to me. But, I know, not everyone feels as I do. It's a heartbreaking story. I'm not really a sci-fi person, so much of Bradbury's work is simply beyond me, but this will always resonate in me. It causes heartache and yearning, sadness and even some anger. It's absolutely beautiful, too beautiful for words, really.
